Rasmus Kjaergaard, CEO of Mindway AI, recently played a pivotal role in shaping global strategies for gambling harm prevention as a guest speaker at the Better Gambling Forum in New York. This event, part of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, marked a significant moment for Mindway AI.
Held on September 23 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Manhattan, the forum was organised in collaboration with the UN Brain Economy Summit by the Brain Capital Alliance. The focus was on enhancing global player protection by promoting discussions around innovative approaches to responsible gambling in today’s digital age.
This event comes following the successful launch of this initiative in Calgary in June as part of the G7 Canada Brain Economy Summit which Rasmus also spoke at. This second convening was a working session to gather feedback on a proposed Responsible Gambling Triple-P (RG3P) Framework. Developed by the Better Gambling Forum from a global review of existing standards and regulatory models, RG3P is a living tool designed to prompt dialogue.

During the event, Rasmus engaged alongside industry leaders such as Paul Buck from Mindway AI partner Epic Global Solutions, Dean Hestermann from Caesars Entertainment Inc and Jamie Wiebe (from recently announced Mindway AI customer Crown Resorts) in a workshop titled ‘Prevention First – Literacy, Choice, and Detection.’ The session explored how each organisation connected to the pillars highlighting ‘Education, Informed Choice & Harm Prevention’ and ‘Risk Detection & Intervention.’
The workshop aimed to identify scalable practices and policies to mitigate gambling harm at the earliest stage. Ideas proposed during the panels were openly discussed in a workshop setting by influential executives from the global gambling industry, with the objective of refining and advancing the RG3P framework and its recommendations.
Bringing our perspective to the global stage for this event is an honour and privilege for Mindway AI — especially following a summer of meaningful dialogue at the G7-linked Global Forum in Calgary in June and the UN AI for Good Summit in Geneva in July.
Stay tuned for a video interview from the event with more insights to come.
