Mindway AI welcomes Sophia Tran as a new expert panel member

Mindway AI, the award-winning Danish provider of innovative safer gambling solutions, has announced the addition of Sophia Tran to its expert panel, enhancing the company’s strategic capabilities in addressing problem gambling on a global scale. This new addition brings a valuable Australian perspective, reflecting Mindway AI’s commitment to expanding its international presence and expertise in problem gambling prevention and intervention.

Sophia Tran, a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist specialising in the treatment of problem gambling, joins Mindway AI’s expert panel with an impressive background in both clinical practice and education. Previously a senior leader at the University of Sydney’s Gambling Treatment and Research Clinic, Tran has worked extensively in the field, providing treatment, training, and education to health professionals. Currently, she practices privately, where she continues to champion problem gambling prevention and mental health support.

“I’m excited to collaborate with Mindway AI to combine psychological knowledge and leading-edge AI with the goal of improving methods of identifying early signs of harmful gambling,” says Tran. “This will offer an important opportunity for early intervention and support. In the area of problem gambling, prevention is key.”

Mindway AI has gained international recognition for its innovative AI-driven tools that help detect and prevent problematic gambling behaviours. With Tran’s expertise and strategic insights, the company is well-positioned to further develop its offerings, focusing on delivering solutions that support mental health professionals and gambling operators in proactively addressing potential risks. Tran’s role on the expert panel will involve advising on product development and meticulously analysing several thousand player gambling patterns as part of the expert panel. These assessments are used to train and continuously update GameScanner’s algorithm.

“Welcoming Sophia Tran to our expert panel marks a significant advancement in our mission to combine clinical insight with AI to combat problem gambling worldwide. Her expertise will enhance our ability to identify early signs of harmful gambling behaviour, making interventions more effective and timely,” said Rasmus Kjaergaard, CEO of Mindway AI.

Adding Tran’s expertise is a significant step in Mindway AI’s growth journey. Her contribution is expected to strengthen the company’s safer gambling efforts and underscores Mindway AI’s commitment to making a positive impact in global gambling markets through technology and clinical insight.
